Acer palmatum 'Ukon'Pea green stems and trunk take center stage in the winter when this tree is bare. Then, in spring, the new leaves are a bright chartreuse color, shifting to a bright green in summer. In fall, the tree turns a stunning yellow with some orange shading. What a show! The tree will be 10 ft tall and a bit less wide in 10 years, and grows at a medium rate. Hardy to zone 5. Grows well in large containers.
